Portland State Vikings Alum, DeShawn Shead Still Out For Seattle Seahawks

DeShawn Shead celebrates a tackle for loss with teammates Bobby Wagner and Earl Thomas.

Many thought this could be the week that DeShawn Shead returned to action for the Seattle Seahawks.

Even the Portland State alum who went undrafted back in 2012 and earned a Super Bowl ring in 2014 himself is itching to get back on the field. Yet as Seattle is starting to ramp up in preparation for their game against Tampa Bay this week, word came down today from Seahawks practice that Shead will remain on the shelf with his injured hamstring.

“It’s going to be hard for those guys to make it back,” said head coach Pete Carroll when asked about Shead and free safety, Earl Thomas.
