Weekend Recap: Monday Morning Links
A great weekend for Portland was capped by a signature win up north by Seattle.
Unless you think that Portland will be getting an NFL team of our own any time soon (a much likelier possibility than getting MLB), you might as well jump aboard the Seattle ship for now. As it stands, the Ducks playing for a BCS Title is the closest thing we’ve got to pro pigskin in the Beaver State.
- Seattle broke a Guinness World Record last night as the loudest stadium on earth in their 29-3 stomping of the 49ers. [NFL]
- The Timbers took a step backward on Saturday with a 1-1 draw at Chivas USA. [Stumptown Footy]
- Portland’s rookie of the year, Damian Lillard, is already making predictions for the upcoming Blazers‘ season: 46 wins for the team and an all-star appearance. [CSNNW]
- The Ducks dismantled Tennessee in typical Oregon fashion on Saturday, but after Mariota set career bests it’s the absent tight end Colt Lyerla who’s making headlines. [ESPN]
