Round 2 – Portland’s Best Sports Logo

Only 16 teams remain in the bracket for Portland’s best sports logo. After almost 47,000 votes from the past week, the field of 32 has been cut in half.

The Timbers led all teams in total votes (2,745) while their first round opponent, the Portland Chinooks, received the fewest – just 282 – giving the Timbers the most lopsided victory of Round 1. The Trail Blazers (2,544), Thorns (2,420), Pigs (2,325) and Fighting Fillies (2,262) rounded out the top five in total votes.

There were three upsets in the opening round. In the Portlandia Region, No. 6 Rose City Rollers beat No. 3 Portland Thunder while No. 5 Pacific Boxers knocked off No. 4 Uprising. In the Rose City region, No. 5 Linfield Wildcats beat No. 4 Spartans FC.

Meanwhile, the Bridgetown region saw the closest battle as No. 3 Portland Pilots narrowly escaped an upset from No. 6 Shockwave, winning by just 40 votes – 1.3 percent of the total votes in their matchup.

Interestingly, the No. 5 seeds scored more total votes than the No. 4 seeds: 6,066 to 5,304.
