9. Bourdeaux D. Nutria

New Orleans Zephyrs - Bourdeaux D. NutriaTeam: New Orleans Zephyrs
League: Pacific Coast League
Affiliate: Marlins (Class AAA)

This yellow-toothed vermin looks a lot like the Cal Bear with buckteeth. But his beer belly and baseball hat give him the decidedly minor league qualities you’d expect from New Orleans.

BIO: Boudreaux has made Zephyr Field home since 1997, when he was found in the swamp exhibit at Audubon Zoo. The Zephyrs adopted Boux and he became New Orleans’ most eligible bachelor … until 1998, when he met Clotile, and it was love at first bite. Clotile accepted Boudreaux’s Opening Day marriage proposal, and they were married in front of a packed house on Aug. 16, a crowd that still ranks as the seventh-largest in stadium history. The happy couple has charmed and entertained hundreds of thousands of fans through the years, and renewed their vows in 2008 during their 10-year anniversary celebration. Jake Donahue
Jake Donahue is more of a Ron Burgundy than he is a Ben Simmons. He does have a background in journalism, sports writing and marketing, though. And he owns the Donahue Media Group, a local web design and project management company, as well as a real estate marketing firm, Portland Picture. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he grew up a Mariner fan before launching his own Little League coaching career.
