5. Conrad the Crawdad

Hickory Crawdads - Conrad the CrawdadTeam: Hickory Crawdads
League: South Atlantic League
Affiliate: Rangers (Class A)

The only mascot who looks like he came from a Disney movie (http://crom.eubd.ucm.es/~edidig23/imagen/sebastianpersonaje.jpg), Conrad the Crawdad is literally a walking cartoon. He also represents possibly the smallest member of the animal kingdom as far as mascots go.

BIO: Conrad the Crawdad swam onto the scene in 1993 and has been entertaining audiences with his zany antics and friendly demeanor ever since. Whether it’s running for his life ahead of 100 screaming kids during the fifth inning’s Conrad Catch or serving up ice cream to the loudest screamers he can find, there’s never a dull moment for this beloved crustacean. Conrad can be found at any home game inside Crawdads Stadium or at one of his many community appearances at charity walks, family days, company events and even in front of grocery stores and restaurants. Jake Donahue
Jake Donahue is more of a Ron Burgundy than he is a Ben Simmons. He does have a background in journalism, sports writing and marketing, though. And he owns the Donahue Media Group, a local web design and project management company, as well as a real estate marketing firm, Portland Picture. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he grew up a Mariner fan before launching his own Little League coaching career.
