10. Crazy Hotdog Vendor

Reading Fightin Phils - Crazy Hot Dog VendorTeam: Reading Fightin Phils
League: Eastern League
Affiliate: Phillies (Class AA)

I’ve seen more creativity in Little League, but there are definitely some points to be had for originality. Normally you’d expect a mascot to be endearing toward children and look more like a cartoon than a human. Nevertheless, this frankfurter-tossing freak deserves the last spot on our list either way. At least they’re trying in Reading.

BIO: Born under the name Phrank Footer, The Crazy Hot Dog Vendor is wildly famous for his hot dog throwing, bow tie wearing, ostrich taming antics, which he performs throughout the season. He and his trusty ostrich, Rodrigo, perform at every Reading Fightin Phils home game, during the second inning. (Vote for this mascot at MiLB.com’s Mascot Mania)

Jake Donahue
Jake Donahue is more of a Ron Burgundy than he is a Ben Simmons. He does have a background in journalism, sports writing and marketing, though. And he owns the Donahue Media Group, a local web design and project management company, as well as a real estate marketing firm, Portland Picture. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he grew up a Mariner fan before launching his own Little League coaching career.
