Competitive Eating Champion Kobayashi is coming to the Stott Center this weekend to Get Stuffed at the Portland State Basketball Tournament.

Kobayashi is a six-time Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Champion, consuming as many as 53 hot dogs in 12 minutes.

On Friday, there will be a hot dog eating contest among Portland State students immediately following the Viking men’s game against Loyola (approximately 7:30 p.m.). Following that contest, Kobayashi will take on any members of the media in a hot dog eating contest. The contest will occur immediately after the student contest and the media members will have approximately 90 seconds to eat as many hot dogs as they can.

On Saturday, at halftime of the men’s game with SIU Edwardsville (approximately 6:15 p.m.) there will be a competition between Kobayashi and the student winner from Friday night.

Kobayashi’s appearance at the Stott Center is to highlight the “Get Stuffed” winter of Portland State men’s and women’s basketball. Viking fans will be able to Get Stuffed all winter at the Stott Center. Any fan purchasing a ticket for a seat will receive free concessions. Portland State students, with student tickets, can also take advantage of this promotion. It’s just that simple. Buy your ticket and you eat for free.
